I can’t find a subtitle for my language

Many websites offer subtitles for a movies \ series that we watch such as subscene.com or opensubtitles.org where you can search for a subtitle of your movie. But most of the time there is no subtitle for your language. Usually English and few languages available only.

You can wait for someone to upload a subtitle for your language but you don’t know when this subtitle going to be uploaded or may not uploaded at all.

Here we will see the steps with an example how to make your own subtitle file from another one already available in any language to your language.

Let’s say you have Defending Jacob - First Season episode 1 (Defending.Jacob.S01E01) and you are looking for a subtitle for the Korean language.

You searched in subtitles websites but didn’t find a subtitle for the Koran language specifically. Only available subtitles you’ve found is English and some other languages.

For example, you open subscene.com and type “Defending Jacob - First Season” in the search text box and you find subtitles for many languages. Preferably you download the English subtitle because the series is in English language.

So you downloaded a subtitle file name “Defending.Jacob.S01E01.srt” in your Download folder for example.

Now you play the episode using “MX Player” app and open the English subtitle. (Hit menu button à subtitle à open then locate the subtitle file)
